Job summary

Jobtailor in Las Vegas is seeking a seasoned HR Generalist/HRBP to lead human resources functions across stations, aligned with Regional HR and Corporate HR.

You will advise on policy, investigations, disciplinary actions, and partner with leadership to drive culture, performance, and inclusion. This role requires strong communication, compliance knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 25% to support sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years’ HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to facilitate discussions and/or present to large groups.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build trusted relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Prior experience in logistics, distribution, manufacturing, retail, or related environments preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SPHR preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in multicultural, diverse, and inclusive work environments preferred.
  • Experience in a unionized environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn HRIS and TM systems preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills preferred.
  • Ability to identify trends and measure results using data, insight, critical thinking, and strategic problem-solving skills preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate preferred.
  • Ability to travel at short notice and regularly, up to 25%, to operational sites.
  • Ability to walk through large facilities and navigate stairs, uneven surfaces, and noisy operational areas.
  • May require flexible hours to support urgent employee relations matters or time-sensitive investigations.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead HR functions for assigned stations under Regional HR Director guidance.
  • Partner with field leaders and HR to align station culture with company objectives.
  • Advise leadership on policy interpretation, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and accommodations.
  • Lead investigations for employee relations issues and prepare statements.
  • Guide disciplinary actions and discharge cases.
  • Support learning and development programs with Talent Development.
  • Support performance management and evaluations.
  • Collaborate on change management strategies for major initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and industry trends.
  • Advise leadership on compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

  • Lead Human Resource functions for assigned stations with direction from the Regional HR Director and partnership with Corporate HR
  • Partner with field operations leaders, front-line employees, and HR functions to align station culture and performance with company objectives
  • Build relationships with operational leadership teams to understand business needs
  • Advise station leadership on policy, collective bargaining agreement interpretation, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and reasonable accommodations
  • Lead full investigative processes for employee relations matters, including EEO charges, policy violations, and workplace issues
  • Prepare and review position statements
  • Guide operational leaders on disciplinary actions, corrective measures, and discharge cases
  • Support learning and development programs with Talent Development
  • Support performance management, including goal setting, constructive feedback, and performance evaluations
  • Collaborate on change management strategies for major organizational initiatives, including policy development, rollout, communication, and adoption
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of labor and employment laws, regulations, compliance standards, legislative updates, industry trends, case law, and best practices
  • Advise leadership on compliance and mitigation of legal or operational risk
  • Perform other duties as assigned
