DC Restaurant Group seeks an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our Arlington, VA corporate team. You will work directly with Executive Leadership and Operations to shape employee experiences across four brands and multiple states.

You will handle employee relations, investigations, and performance management while ensuring compliance. This role requires proactive, independent work and a passion for people in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as HRBP/HR Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state employment laws and compliance.
• Proven ability to coach leaders and motivate teams.

We are a growing, multi-brand restaurant organization operating well-known restaurant brands across the East and West Coasts, and we are looking for a passionate, driven, and experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our corporate team in Arlington, VA! This is an exciting opportunity to take on a highly visible role where you will work directly with Executive Leadership, Operations teams, and restaurant management to help shape the employee experience across multiple brands and locations.

From navigating employee relations and supporting leadership development to strengthening HR practices and ensuring compliance across multiple states, no two days will look the same! What You'll Do

• Serve as a trusted HR partner to Regional, District, and Restaurant Managers across our East and West Coast operations.
• Take the lead on employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, corrective actions, and employee concerns.
• Provide hands‑on guidance and coaching to managers on performance management, employee development, and workplace challenges.
• Navigate multi‑state employment laws and ensure HR compliance across multiple restaurant brands and locations.
• Partner with Operations leadership to strengthen employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
• Support leadership development, manager training, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Assist with developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
• Provide guidance on employee benefits, leave management, compensation, and other HR programs.
• Collaborate with Recruiting, Payroll, Finance, and Executive Leadership to support business and workforce needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, streamline operations, and create consistency across multiple locations.
• Build strong relationships with restaurant teams and serve as a reliable resource for employees and managers.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or similar HR leadership role.
• Strong background in employee relations, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Experience supporting multiple locations, business units, or operational teams.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws, including multi‑state HR compliance.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with the confidence to work directly with leadership.
• A proactive, solutions‑oriented approach to handling employee concerns and business challenges.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Someone who takes initiative, works independently, and enjoys being a hands‑on HR partner.

Nice to Have

• HR experience within the restaurant, hospitality, retail, or other high‑volume hourly workforce industries.
• Experience supporting multi‑unit operations across multiple states, particularly East and West Coast markets.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, SPHR, or similar HR certification.
• Experience with HRIS platforms, HR reporting, and employee engagement initiatives.
