Job Description:

The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR department and assist in a variety of functions, including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, and maintaining personnel records. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews
  • Prepare and maintain employee files, records, and HR documents in a confidential and organized manner
  • Support onboarding and orientation activities for new hires
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
  • Assist with benefits administration and recordkeeping
  • Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department (e.g., data entry, reporting, scheduling)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Human Resources or related administrative role
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with HR processes, labor laws, and HRIS systems is a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
