Human Resources Assistant

Location: Charlotte, NC | Hybrid (4 days onsite)

As a Human Resources Assistant I, you'll be the primary contact for employees—handling critical processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring seamless HR interactions. It combines service, systems, and people skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage employee data updates, job changes, and HR actions in modern HR systems
  • Organize and maintain secure personnel files for audit and compliance readiness
  • Respond to HR-related questions via service tools and email with clarity and professionalism
  • Assist with onboarding by preparing documentation and supporting new hires
  • Monitor support tickets to help the team meet response targets
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (must have 4-year degree)
  • Up to 2 years of experience in HR, admin, or customer service
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and digital documentation tools; able to work with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros in Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in a corporate HR or Shared Services environment
  • Knowledge of HR data privacy laws (HIPAA, FMLA, FCRA)
  • Positive, people-first approach to employee needs
