Job summary

Doherty Staffing Solutions in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Human Resource Manager to partner with site leadership on talent strategy, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits, and HR compliance. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on HR guidance across multiple sites.

You will lead full-cycle recruitment, manage employee relations, coach managers on documentation and feedback, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of progressive HR experience; HR Manager or HRBP experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements.
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
• Experience with HRIS and multi-site HR administration preferred.

• Lead benefits administration for sites, including enrollment support and vendor coordination.

About the Opportunity

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Human Resource Manager for an organization in Minneapolis, MN. In this role, you’ll partner with site leadership to support talent strategy, recruiting, employee relations, performance management, benefits, and HR compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys combining strategic partnership with hands‑on HR leadership in a multi‑site environment.

What You'll Do

• Partner with site leadership on talent strategy, workforce planning, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
• Lead full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions and collaborate with managers on competencies and hiring strategies
• Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, complaints, policy violations, accommodations, corrective actions, terminations, and unemployment claims
• Administer performance management processes and coach managers on documentation, feedback, and corrective action
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and requirements for postings, recordkeeping, and documentation
• Maintain accurate HRIS records and documentation for new hires, employee changes, and terminations
• Lead benefits administration for Repowered and Twin Cities sites, including enrollment support, employee education, life event changes, and coordination with enterprise HR and external vendors

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5–8 years of progressive HR experience; HR Manager or HR Business Partner experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
• Demonstrated ability to assess organizational performance, identify talent gaps, and recommend effective HR solutions
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Minnesota with limited out-of-state travel; satisfactory completion of a criminal background check and verified eligibility to work in the United States required
