Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Human Relations Commission Regional Office in Harrisburg is hiring a Human Relations Representative 1 to investigate discrimination complaints, conduct interviews, and facilitate conciliation under the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

You will review complaints, gather evidence, coordinate with legal staff, manage deadlines, and prepare investigative summaries; telework up to three days per week may be available, with an 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• One year of related investigative or civil rights experience with a bachelor's degree including 12 credits in applicable fields; or
• Equivalent combination of training and experience with 12 college credits in relevant areas.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and conciliate discrimination complaints under the PA Human Relations Act.
• Interview individuals, gather evidence, and draft investigative findings.
• Coordinate with legal staff and guide discussions toward resolution.
• Manage case files, deadlines, and documentation requirements.
