Job summary

Rimkus is seeking a Support Specialist, Human Factors, to manage client-supplied materials and provide deposition and discovery summaries for civil matters. The role emphasizes professional communications with law firms and manufacturers and maintaining strict chain-of-custody and confidentiality.

The candidate should have an associate degree and at least five years of paralegal/secretarial experience, plus proficiency with PACER, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, certificate, or equivalent coursework (legal studies or related work experience preferred).
• Proven experience (minimum five (5) years) as a paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant in a law firm, legal department, or legal services firm.
• Experience supporting civil litigation matters strongly preferred.
• Experience working with manufacturers or product liability matters a plus.
• Proficiency with PACER, Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and various legal related sites.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Document & Materials Management: Receive, organize, log, and maintain client-supplied legal materials including pleadings, correspondence, exhibits, and electronic files.
• Deposition & Discovery Review and Summarization: Read, analyze, and prepare concise, accurate summaries of depositions and discovery materials.
• Client & Professional Communications: Draft professional correspondence, transmittal letters, and follow-up communications; track case status and deadlines.
• General Legal Support: Coordinate scheduling of meetings, depositions, and deadlines; assist with subpoenas and redactions as needed.
