Job summary

Rimkus is seeking a Support Specialist, Human Factors to manage client-supplied materials, summarize depositions, and support discovery with law firms and manufacturers. The role requires professional communication, attention to deadlines, and strict confidentiality.

You will prepare concise summaries of depositions and discovery materials, coordinate with clients, and assist in organizing the case workload of 100+ active matters while liaising with supervising attorneys and project managers.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, certificate, or equivalent coursework (legal studies or related work experience preferred).
• Proven experience (minimum five (5) years) as a paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant in a law firm, legal department, or legal services firm.
• Experience supporting civil litigation matters strongly preferred.
• Experience working with manufacturers or product liability matters a plus.
• Proficiency with PACER, Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and various legal related sites.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Salary Range for this position is $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 and is dependent on education, experience, location and certifications/licensure.

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, log, and maintain client-supplied legal materials including pleadings, correspondence, exhibits, and electronic files.
• Establish, maintain and accurately track document deadlines, follow up on outstanding materials, and provide status updates to supervising attorneys or project managers.
• Ensure chain-of-custody integrity and confidentiality for all client materials.
• Read, analyze, and prepare concise, accurate summaries of depositions and discovery materials.
• Identify gaps, determine additional materials required, and coordinate with clients.
• Draft professional correspondence and transmittal letters on behalf of the consulting team.
• Coordinate scheduling of meetings, depositions, and deadlines using shared calendars and project tracking tools.
• Communicate with the Legal Department regarding subpoenas and related deadlines.
