Job summary

X Energy, LLC in Frederick, Maryland is seeking a Senior Human Factors Engineer to lead the Human Factors Program, interfacing with engineering and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and cost-effective engineered solutions are produced.

The role involves guiding a team, performing technical reviews, and ensuring the user, equipment, and environment are well-aligned. Office-based with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from ABET accredited program, with coursework focusing on human factors.
• Eight plus years’ experience in human factors implementation.
• Five plus years’ experience in evaluating human actions and capabilities.
• Three to Five years' experience in people management.
• Basic understanding of nuclear engineering, licensing, regulatory, quality, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and evaluate the Human Factors Program.
• Interface with engineering disciplines, designers, and stakeholders until requirements are satisfied.
• Oversee direct reports in development and implementation of the human factors program.
• Review and approve human factors reports and plant procedures.
• Ensure user-task fit within environments and user capabilities.
