Job summary

X Energy, LLC seeks a senior Human Factors professional to lead design, development, and evaluation of the Human Factors Program at our Frederick, MD site. You will interface with engineering teams, team designers, and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and drive high-quality, timely, and cost-effective engineered solutions.

You will oversee a team, guide personnel in development and validation of procedures, and ensure fit between users, equipment, and environments.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Eight+ years' experience in human factors implementation.
• Five+ years' experience in evaluating human actions and capabilities.
• Three to five years' experience in people management.
• Basic understanding of nuclear engineering, licensing, regulatory, quality, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Use knowledge of engineering to analyze and provide feedback of plant system design.
• Attend stakeholder meetings to ensure stakeholders are satisfied with our work product.
• Overseeing and performing technical reviews and approvals of human factors reports.
• Provide guidance and personnel support in development and validation of plant procedures.
• Use existing procedures to investigate, evaluate and assist in producing technically correct and cost-effective design changes or recommendations to solve ongoing problems.
• Use knowledge and experience to evaluate the "fit" between the user, equipment, and their environments; considering the user's capabilities and limitations, seeking to ensure that tasks, functions, information, and the environment suit each user.
