What You’ll Do

• Performs human resources duties using the Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS), OnBase & UKG Pro Kronos (e.g., bi-weekly payroll processing, leave requests, approvals, absence leave cases, reviews payroll reports & makes corrections, enters off-work components & submits personnel actions for approval)
• Assists in processing absence management issues (e.g., disability, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Worker's Compensation)
• Participates as an ambassador for the state wellness program (Take Charge / Live Well)
• Works as a liaison with Sedgwick Third-party administrator (TPA) & Sedgwick Managed Care Ohio (MCO) on Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) injury claims
• Assists in finalizing & verifying benefit events after employee enrollment, serves as liaison for various state benefit programs & assists employees in applying for benefits
• Participates in new hire orientation for payroll & benefits (e.g., attends & gives presentations to new employees)

Starting hourly pay of $33.32/hr. with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service and an ending hourly pay of $47.47/hr.

There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the Exempt pay range schedule & longevity rates
