The role involves processing HAP payments, preparing HUD reports, budgeting and variance analysis, and collaborating with landlords, residents, HUD, and other departments to sustain programs that serve our community. Strong Excel skills and stakeholder communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or 3 years professional experience.
• Experience in public housing, governmental accounting, or not-for-profit financial management.
• Advanced Excel skills: Pivot tables, formulas, sort, filter, text to column.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with MS Word and email management.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger maintenance and month-end closings.
• Administer HAP accounting, reconciliation, and budget monitoring.
• Prepare HUD and VMS reports and assist audits.
• Collaborate with landlords, residents, HUD, and internal teams.
