Job summary

OnTrac in Commerce, CA is seeking a HUB Area Manager to oversee sort activities, lead a team of package handlers, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced facility.

This onsite role requires 2+ years in logistics with leadership, strong data analysis, and adept communication. Expect a 1pm–10pm Sunday–Thursday schedule and a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• GED/ Diploma required; BA/BS college degree in related discipline preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of industry experience – e.g. logistics, shipping, 3PL – with at least 1 year of leadership.
• Ability to evaluate and summarize data and present answers clearly.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and mathematical skills.
• Experience with hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and completing performance evaluations for employees.

Responsibilities

• Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area to ensure quality standards while maintaining safety.
• Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback, identify areas for improvement, and address performance/attendance.
• Conduct pre-sort meetings and keep employees informed of daily goals, events, and safety priorities.
• Record and manage the flow of volume from designated Linehauls and departures/arrivals.
• Execute administrative duties including safety training, operational audits, and end-of-shift reporting.
