Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a skilled Machinist to support on-site repair and maintenance operations in Greenwood, IN. The role focuses on safe, precise assembly, inspection, repair, and testing of mechanical units using lathes, mills, drills, and balancing equipment.

Required: machinist certification, HS diploma, and 2–3 years in a machine shop. Forklift/crane experience and blueprint reading are a plus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, wellness, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Machinist certification and HS diploma required or equivalent.
• 2–3 years in a machine shop environment preferred.
• Forklift operation and basic crane experience a plus.
• Experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools.
• Knowledge of balancing and vibration analysis is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment receipt, uncrate, clean, strip, and tear down units.
• Inspect, repair, service, test, and package per policies and safety guidelines.
• Estimate repair costs/time using drawings and parts lists.
• Set up and operate test stands and related equipment.
• Record test results and document shipments.
