Job summary

Westlake is seeking an HSE Specialist to coordinate site activities for OSHA and internal safety programs. This role trains, coaches and leads personnel in risk reduction to maintain a safe, healthy and environmentally sound workplace, ensuring compliance with company, OSHA, local, state, and federal regulations.

The position develops safety training, maintains records, supports incident investigations and KPI programs, and collaborates with site leaders and corporate HSE managers to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field; CSP or CIH preferred.
• 1–3 years’ experience in safety or related field; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of all safety and environmental programs and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site activities for safety program compliance and recordkeeping.
• Train, coach and lead personnel in risk reduction methodologies.
• Develop job-specific safety training and maintain safety records.
• Assist in incident reports and investigations; support root cause analysis.
• Maintain KPI programs and participate in safety committees; support audits.
