Job summary

Westlake seeks an experienced HSE leader to plan, direct, and manage health, safety, and environmental programs across North American sites. You will drive strategy, reduce site risk, and raise awareness of HSE matters with senior management support.

The role requires a BS in safety/health/environment and a minimum of 10 years of related experience, with strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations. Travel and cross-site collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry and OSHA 1926 Construction regulations.
• Experience implementing new policies and procedures.
• Strong facilitation and written/verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive HSE policies, standards, and guidelines for Westlake business segments.
• Lead HSE teams ensuring compliance with laws and site requirements.
• Provide expert support on regulatory changes impacting multiple sites.
• Analyze incidents, identify trends, and recommend preventive actions.
• Prepare replies to audits and support budgets for HSE activities.
• Advise on health risk assessments and engineering controls for hazards.
