Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to assist in developing procedures and operational guidance within the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) program for a world-class manufacturing and automated engineering operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support monitoring injury, illness, and incident-related performance. Develop and implement strategic solutions to improve performance results.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulatory compliance, report findings and concerns, and respond to client/customer/member concerns regarding HSE matters. Utilize stop work authority to address unsafe acts or conditions.
- Maintain compliance with the Principles of Responsibility (Client Code of Conduct), protect organizational assets, act ethically, report non-compliance, and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Act as an HSE subject matter resource for the facility and perform other duties as assigned within scope.
- Proactively identify safety hazards and environmental risks related to robotics manufacturing and R&D activities, and collaborate to develop mitigation strategies.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, or related fields required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with internships, senior projects, or capstone work in engineering or EHS-related subjects.
- Fundamental knowledge of federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Experience in manufacturing, robotics, high-tech processes, and facility management.
- Proven success in implementing HSE programs and initiatives.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to improve HSE performance metrics.
Additional Qualifications
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, or CHMM are a plus.
- Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and other relevant regulations and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience conducting risk assessments.
- Ability to interact professionally across organizational levels and build relationships.
- Understanding of safety principles and regulations in manufacturing and R&D environments.
- Proficiency in incident investigation and corrective actions.
