**Position Overview:**
The EHS Manager Mgr II will oversee environmental compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, integrate safety and environmental management into operations, and work with management to meet safety and environmental goals. The role involves engaging with location leadership, providing regulatory feedback, and ensuring compliance across facilities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical and program management leadership across divisions or multiple locations within a complex regulatory framework.
- Support wastewater collection, treatment, and discharge operations for environmental protection and compliance.
- Advise managers on workplace safety and environmental safety practices, coaching on at-risk behaviors.
- Administer EHS programs in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT standards, maintaining all compliance records.
- Conduct EHS audits, identify issues, and develop corrective action plans.
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance at all locations.
- Act as liaison with regulatory agencies and consultants for environmental matters.
- Research and recommend improvements to EHS performance.
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist with permitting and reporting for air, wastewater, stormwater, and other environmental regulations.
- Manage environmental incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with vendors and insurance providers for environmental assessments and evaluations.
- Develop corrective action plans based on audits and inspections.
- Maintain current internal EHS policies and ensure proper training.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all environmental compliance documentation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in safety/environmental sciences or related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years in safety, environmental, and regulatory roles, preferably in manufacturing or transportation
- Certifications such as CPR/First Aid, OSHA, CSP preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and company systems
- Deep knowledge of environmental regulations
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to develop and enforce safety protocols, lead teams, and handle emergencies
Reporting and Travel
- May oversee 1-2 EHS staff
- Travel 50-60%
