Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Safety, Health, and Environmental (HSE) specialist for its Mid-Atlantic OpCo. The role supports implementation of prevention-focused programs, security, and crisis preparedness across facilities.

You will conduct safety trainings, maintain records, inspect sites, participate in investigations, and help management foster a zero-incident culture while traveling up to 25%. Qualified candidates have an associate degree and OSHA safety certification, plus 2+ years in warehousing or

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and/or a minimum of 2 years of safety experience with OSHA certifications.
• 2+ years with hands-on safety experience in warehousing, manufacturing or transportation.
• Certification in safety as a recognized safety professional (in progress acceptable).
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Complete new hire orientation training programs as assigned by safety director.
• Maintain records for safety programs (training logs, reports, inspections).
• Inspect facilities to detect unsafe conditions and recommend corrections.
• Participate in investigations on vehicle accidents and injuries.
• Develop corrective actions with supervision and promote safe work methods.
