Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) professional to support prevention-focused programs across OpCo. The role involves training, record-keeping, and ensuring adherence to safety and security objectives, including crisis preparedness.

The position requires an Associate's degree or OSHA certification with 2+ years of safety experience in warehousing, manufacturing, or transportation. Travel up to 25% and potential participation in an incentive plan are included.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher and/or 2+ years safety experience with OSHA certification.
• Experience with safety programs in warehousing, manufacturing or transportation operations.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of prevention-focused health, safety, and environmental programs.
• Maintain safety program records (training logs, reports, inspections).
• Implement and train safety programs as directed by the safety director.
• Inspect facilities for unsafe conditions and contribute to corrective actions.
• Assist investigations of vehicle accidents and injuries.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and engage associates in safe work methods.
• Provide root cause analysis training to supervisors and management.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies when needed.
