Sysco is seeking an operating company (OpCo) safety professional to assist with implementing prevention-focused health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs and security initiatives across the facility. The role supports OpCo-specific project implementation and training to align with Sysco's HSE objectives.

You will help deliver training, perform inspections, participate in root-cause investigations, and assist in emergency preparedness plans while promoting a zero-incident safety culture.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2+ years safety experience with OSHA certifications.
• 2+ years of hands-on safety in warehousing, manufacturing, or transportation operations.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Certification in safety as a recognized professional or working toward it.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Complete new hire orientation training programs as assigned by the safety director.
• Maintain records for safety programs (training logs, reports, inspections).
• Implement and train new or existing safety programs provided by the safety director to staff.
• Inspect facilities to detect unsafe conditions.
• Participate in investigations of vehicle accidents and injuries.
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions with supervision.
• Engage associates to follow safe work methods and conduct coaching for high-risk staff.
• Monitor equipment inspections and recommend corrective measures.
• Support site management in implementing HSE plans and promoting a safety culture.
• Provide supervisor training on root cause analysis and interface with regulators in the absence of the safety director.
• Contribute to company-wide annual HSE training plan.
