Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Safety Specialist to oversee daily safety operations and ensure regulatory compliance across facilities in New Mexico. You will lead inspections, incident investigations, and training, driving a strong safety culture.

Prepare and maintain HSE records, coordinate emergency actions, and deliver coaching to improve safety performance. Proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years’ safety experience.
• OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1926 familiarity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills (written and oral).
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk the property as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily safety activities and ensure compliance with policies.
• Promote safety training through coaching and required training.
• Perform inspections on tools, equipment, and facility items (daily to annual).
• Document and delegate corrective actions for immediate resolution.
• Coordinate Facility Emergency Action Plan procedures and incident reporting.
• Investigate incidents and participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations.
• Maintain HSE records in compliance with standards.
