Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Health, Safety & Environmental leader to oversee regional operations within a multi-site distribution network. You will drive injury prevention, risk assessments, and compliance across sites, while developing and implementing safety programs and policies.

The role requires strong experience in hazardous materials management, audits, and training delivery, with travel up to 35% and collaboration with executives on safety strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a medium to large warehouse in an HSE management capacity supervising 5 or more associates.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene) preferred.
• Prior experience in safety observations/inspections and developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional operations in injury prevention, task assessment, safety communications, hazardous materials storage and transportation compliance, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, implement, and manage company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure policies and procedures comply with statutory requirements including OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 where applicable.
• Serve as subject matter expert and consultant to site management, corporate HSE, external regulatory agencies, talent development, and site staff.
• Support safe practices and environmental commitments; conduct pre-operational risk assessments for new sites and mitigate risks.
• Train and coach local Health & Safety Managers; partner with Facility Leadership as safety POC; conduct HSE audits and assessments.
