Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a full-time exempt HSE Safety Specialist to ensure compliance with corporate, federal, and state safety policies. You will develop training materials, conduct safety training, and new hire orientation, perform site safety observations and inspections, and coordinate OSHA/MSHA/DOT documentation.

The role requires extensive travel to field sites, reading and updating training modules, leading toolbox talks, incident investigations, post-accident drug screens, and supporting

Qualifications

Requires HSE/Safety degree or equivalent experience.
Experience in heavy civil construction preferred.
Must be able to travel overnight or long distances.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with corporate, federal, and state safety policies.
Develop training materials and conduct safety trainings and new hire orientation.
Perform on-site safety observations, inspections, audits, and training needs assessments.
Lead toolbox talks, safety flashes, and monthly training modules.
Investigate incidents and support project teams with safety expertise.
Attend planning meetings and coordinate with operations on safety.
Conduct subcontractor safety oversight and inspections.
