Job summary

BARNES is seeking an HSE role in Ogden, UT to help develop and implement safety processes, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and standards. You will assist in maintaining procedures, perform risk assessments, and support training programs across the site.

The position involves conducting incident investigations, EH&S reporting, and site-level safety training, with emphasis on promoting a zero-incident mindset and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Zero to three years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Education and experience in HSE programs; with specific regard to Lockout/Tagout and Machine Guarding Programs.
• Ability to partner effectively with the line organization to drive accountability for safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing HSE processes to ensure risk control and compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of HSE procedures to protect employees and prevent incidents.
• Conduct job safety analyses, machine guarding and other assessments and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risk.
• Conduct required training (HazCom, Lockout/Tag out, PPE, Ergonomics, Machine Guarding, Electrical Safety, Emergency Evacuation).
• Conduct incident investigations and prepare environmental, health and safety reports.
