Job summary

Motion Industries seeks a Counter Sales Representative II in Jacksonville to provide first-class customer service, assist customers face-to-face, troubleshoot problems, and apply knowledge of hoses, thread configurations, and hydraulic components to build customer assemblies. You will support location sales and help maintain safe, efficient operations.

You will collaborate with the Solutions Center Manager and the outside sales team to grow the business, maintain strong customer relationships,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Strong customer-service mindset with ability to troubleshoot and communicate solutions.
• Knowledge of hoses, thread configurations, hydraulics and industrial products is a plus.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced retail/service environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class customer service to local market and assist in serving customers face-to-face.
• Troubleshoot customer problems and offer creative solutions; identify and build customer assemblies.
• Work closely with Solutions Center Manager and outside sales to grow the business.

SUMMARY:Under general supervision, the Counter Sales Representative II provides quality customerservice and support at a key location in the retail and service business segment.JOB DUTIESSupports location sales by providing first class customer service to local market.Assists in servicing customers face-to-face through familiarity and knowledge of products.Troubleshoots customer problems and provides creative solutions.Identifies and builds customer assemblies.Ensures knowledge of use of all equipment.Works closely with the Solutions Center Manager and outside sales group to develop and grow the business.Assists team in overall maintenance of the location.Participates in making sure all safety guidelines are followed.Maintains key relationships with customers.Ensures customer service and value-add is a focal point of every interaction.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCETypically requires a high school diploma or GED and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESPositive attitude.Willingness to learn and be hands on.Capable of using hand tools and shop equipment.Ability to work in a fast paced environment.Meet deadlines and manage time effectively.Experience with Microsoft Office.Comfortable in a consultative transaction atmosphere.Mechanical/technical inclination.Knowledge of different hoses and thread configurations a plus.Industrial sales experience.Hydraulic knowledge.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS: None required.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: No Supervisory ResponsibilityBUDGET RESPONSIBILITY: NoCOMPANY INFORMATION:Motion offers an excellent benefits package which includes options for healthcare coverage, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, vacation, sick, and holiday pay.Not the right fit?
