Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an HRO Change Management Analyst in Health System Shared Services to partner with the HRO Senior Consultant and multidisciplinary teams to deploy high reliability practices across the OSUWMC continuum of care.

This role emphasizes establishing, executing, and sustaining high reliability systems, including the Zero Harm Champion program and Every Person, Every Time Skill adoption, to advance patient safety and organizational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in health-related specialty or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; preferred 2–4 years.

Responsibilities

• Develops and deploys infrastructure to support EPET skill adoption across the continuum of care.
• Oversees the Zero Harm Champion program and prioritizes opportunities for improvement, monitoring effectiveness.
• Collects, analyzes, and reports meaningful HRO metrics and provides training as needed.

Job Title: HRO Change Management Analyst Department: Health System Shared Services | Quality and Operations

Scope of Position This integrated role is responsible for partnering with the High Reliability Organization (HRO) Senior Consultant and multidisciplinary teams within The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, including the James Cancer Hospital, to facilitate sustained deployment of HRO principles and practices across the OSUWMC continuum of care (acute to ambulatory) in alignment with the Exceptional Care Initiative of Impact 2035. The position emphasizes the establishment, execution, and sustainment of high reliability systems, including the Zero Harm Champion program, Every Person, Every Time Skill adoption, and High Reliability Rounding, by leveraging expertise in clinical practice and project management. This role will advance organizational performance and patient safety through evidence-based design, systems thinking, and the application of human-centered approaches. The focus will not only be on closing high reliability gaps with infrastructure and support but also leading with innovation and excellence to establish OSUWMC as a national leader in the high reliability space.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include develops and deploys infrastructure to support EPET skill adoption across the continuum of care; oversees the Zero Harm Champion program; directs and coordinates mechanisms to help identify and prioritize ongoing opportunities for improvement then monitors their effectiveness; collects, analyzes, and reports meaningful HRO metrics; validates sustained HRO efforts and provides training and education as needed.
