Job summary

Lumen Resources is seeking an HRIS Reporting Analyst to join our client’s HR systems team onsite in Houston. You will connect HR platforms to the broader systems ecosystem, keeping data flowing accurately between HR and Payroll while delving into the technical layer of HRIS.

You will own end-to-end HR reporting, build dashboards with Power BI, and write SQL queries, leveraging middleware like Boomi or SAP CPI to support data integration across multiple systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on HRIS experience.
• 5+ years as HRIS Analyst or similar technical HR role.
• Hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors, UKG, or similar systems.
• Experience building integrations using REST APIs and middleware (Boomi, CPI, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations connecting HR platforms to other business systems using middleware tools (Boomi, SAP CPI, or similar).
• Map data movement between systems, identify gaps, and design solutions to close them.
• Own configuration, upgrades, and testing cycles for core HR technology platforms.
• Set up and manage inbound/outbound data feeds across multiple connected systems.
• Monitor integration health, preempt issues and resolve them proactively.

Job description

Our client is hiring an HRIS Reporting Analyst to support their HR systems team. This is a hands-on, technical role based onsite in Houston, focused on connecting HR platforms to the broader systems ecosystem and keeping data flowing accurately between HR and Payroll. The right person is comfortable working deep in the technical layer, not just the functional side of HR systems.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain integrations connecting HR platforms to other business systems using middleware tools (Boomi, SAP CPI, or similar)
• Map out how data moves between systems, identify where gaps or breakpoints exist, and design solutions to close them
• Own configuration, upgrades, and testing cycles for core HR technology platforms
• Set up and manage inbound/outbound data feeds across multiple connected systems
• Monitor integration health, catch issues early, and resolve them before they impact the business
• Handle Single Sign-On setup and ongoing management
• Build and run test plans for new integrations and changes, including UAT and regression cycles
• Take ownership of HR reporting end to end: pulling data, building dashboards, and delivering insights through Power BI
• Write SQL queries and use advanced Excel functions to manipulate and validate data
• Work closely with IT and other stakeholders on integration requests and system consistency across the org
• Help train and guide junior team members on integration and testing best practices

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience
• 5+ years working as an HRIS Analyst, or in a similarly technical role
• Real, hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors, UKG, or other systems
• Practical experience building integrations using REST APIs and middleware (Boomi, CPI, etc.)
• Comfort working with XML, and JSON
• Experience with SQL Server
• Strong ability to take a business need and turn it into a working technical solution
