Job summary

USO seeks a Manager, HRIS to lead and optimize human resource information systems across recruitment, onboarding, compensation and benefits. This role requires strong HRIS expertise, vendor coordination, and capability to train users and leaders.

Based in Arlington, VA, the successful candidate will oversee system testing, security, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to support the organization’s mission and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or Human Resources.
• 5+ years progressively responsible work experience in an HRIS administration/management role, including 1+ years in a supervisory capacity.
• Not-for-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of HR processes and information requirements in a mid-sized globally dispersed organization.
• Ability to interact with leadership and translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing external vendor relationships and HRIS integration projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment/onboarding, compensation and benefits administration in HRIS.
• Perform ongoing tests for new/existing system features and generate reports.
• Represent HRIS interests to Departments/Regions, Payroll/Finance and IT; manage access and security.
• Assist with analysis of system/technology needs and vendor recommendations.
• Make first-line binding decisions about HRIS features and escalate as needed.
• Lead and develop HRIS team members; manage multiple projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This position is in-person located in Arlington, VA.
