Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking an HRIS Intern to support the Human Resources Information Systems team. You will gain hands-on experience with Workday, data management, reporting, and system support while collaborating with HR, Recruiting, and IT.

You will assist with day-to-day system support, data integrity efforts, and testing activities, building foundational HRIS and analytical skills in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; pursuing associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience with HR data management and confidentiality.
Strong communication and attention to detail in HRIS tasks.

Responsibilities

Serve as HRIS partner supporting Workday workstreams.
Provide consultation to HR and recruiting teams; gather requirements and analyze impact.
Research current and upcoming Workday capabilities and assess new releases.
Identify opportunities to improve Workday functionality and processes.
Assist in testing integrations, security, and annual HR events.
Maintain master data values in Workday (e.g., posting locations, onboarding docs).
Resolve Workday issues and bridge gaps between HR and IT teams.
Share knowledge with HRIS Manager and stakeholders; participate in training to improve policy acumen.
Report to work on schedule and maintain punctuality.
