Job summary

Vinson & Elkins is seeking an HR Systems Data Analyst to design, implement, and maintain the firm's HRIS and related systems, focusing on data integrity, automation, and secure data flows across benefits, payroll, talent management, and performance.

The role requires advanced database design, SQL proficiency, API and middleware knowledge, and collaboration with HR, Benefits, and IT teams to deliver automated, data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience working with the HRIS and other HR-related systems, system integration, database programming, and reporting in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Experience with Oracle and system integration/middleware tools is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of HR processes and HR systems ecosystem including benefits, payroll, and talent management tools.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain databases related to HR, benefits, and talent management systems with data integrity and performance.
• Ensure seamless data flow between HRIS, benefits, payroll, and performance systems; troubleshoot data issues.
• Develop reports and advanced queries for tailored data solutions for HR and Benefits teams.
• Collaborate with HR/Benefits to automate routine employee data processes and enrich data governance.
• Maintain documentation and assist training of HR staff on database tools and processes.
