Job summary

American University in Washington, DC is seeking an HRIS Analyst to bridge HR and IT, ensuring Workday and legacy systems support daily HR operations.

This full-time, hybrid role (On Campus 1 day per month) requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of HRIS backend experience; Workday and advanced Excel skills for reporting are highly desirable. You will optimize data integrity, manage security access, and support system updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience providing HRIS backend management and configuration support.
• Experience working with Workday is highly desirable.
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience manipulating data sets for reporting.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Functional System Oversight: Monitor the daily performance of Workday and legacy HRIS platforms to ensure they support HR operations effectively; serve as the primary HR point of contact for identifying system glitches or performance issues.
