Job summary

Howard County Government seeks an experienced HRIS Analyst II to administer the County’s HRIS, ensure data accuracy, and support payroll and employee records management. Reporting to the HRIS Manager in the Office of Human Resources, the role covers system configuration, testing, data validation, and cross‑system integrations with timekeeping and payroll.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in HRIS or payroll, with hands-on ADP/Workday/UKG knowledge, strong analytical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years related experience or equivalent.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and timekeeping.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP, UKG, Workday.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Administers and manages the HRIS, including system configuration and data validation.
• Participates in design, testing, and ongoing enhancement of the County’s HRIS (ADP).
• Coordinates system integrations with timekeeping, payroll, position management, and applicant tracking.
• Maintains HRIS data integrity through audits and validation queries.
• Develops and maintains reports using ADP Reporting and other tools.
• Leads HRIS projects and provides training to HR staff and managers.
