Job summary

CMS Energy is seeking a Director of HR Innovation to lead enterprise HR transformation initiatives, driving modernization of processes, technology implementations, and analytics capabilities. You will partner with HR leaders and Digital Technology to deliver scalable, data-driven improvements across the HR function.

You will oversee governance, metrics, and adoption efforts while aligning initiatives with enterprise strategy and employee experience outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field with 7+ years in HR transformation or related initiatives.
• Associate’s degree in related field with 9+ years of progressive experience in HR transformation.
• High School diploma with 11+ years of progressive HR transformation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of HR transformation initiatives across process redesign and technology implementations.
• Partner with HR Centers of Excellence, Operations, and Digital Technology to improve service delivery.
• Develop and execute HR transformation roadmaps aligned with organizational priorities.
• Strengthen HR data capabilities with dashboards, analytics, and reporting tools.
• Lead design and optimization of HR self-service capabilities for employees and leaders.
• Identify technology or data-driven opportunities to replace manual processes.
• Drive standardization and simplification of HR processes across the enterprise.
• Establish governance and performance measures for transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with leaders to prioritize investments improving talent and employee experience.
• Lead change management, stakeholder engagement, training, and adoption activities.
• Utilize continuous improvement methods to enhance processes and outcomes.
• Research emerging HR tech and trends to strengthen capabilities.
• Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders to advance HR priorities.
• Other duties as assigned.
