Job summary

Consumers Energy is seeking a Director of HR Innovation to lead enterprise HR transformation initiatives, modernize processes, and drive data-driven decision making. This role partners with HR leaders and Digital Technology to deliver scalable, employee-centered solutions.

You will translate HR strategy into executable roadmaps, manage governance and adoption, and ensure measurable business value while supporting a hybrid work model based in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale HR transformation, change management, or technology implementations.
• Deep understanding of HR operations, employee experience, and HR tech ecosystems.
• Strong strategic mindset connecting business objectives with people, data, and tech.
• Expertise in workforce analytics, dashboards, and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of HR transformation initiatives across processes, tech, and analytics.
• Partner with HR and Digital Technology teams to improve service delivery and experiences.
• Develop and execute HR transformation strategies tied to workforce priorities.
• Strengthen data-driven decision making with dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools.
• Lead the design and adoption of HR self-service capabilities enterprise-wide.
• Identify opportunities to automate and simplify HR processes.
