Job summary

American Heritage Credit Union is seeking an experienced Trainer to join the Human Resources team. You will conduct new employee orientations, onboard staff to essential systems, and deliver ongoing product knowledge training.

The role involves creating training materials and e-learning content, and supporting the VP and Talent Development Supervisor. The position requires strong public speaking skills, 3–5 years in training, and a solid understanding of credit union operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of public speaking or training experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, HR or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong, professional communication skills for training.
• Knowledge of Credit Union operations and current training practices.
• Public speaking and presentation skills.
• Strong judgment; able to analyze situations and develop solutions.
• Good time management, critical thinking; able to adjust schedules.
• Intermediate math skills (decimals, percentages, fractions).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word.

Responsibilities

• Lead new employee orientations covering credit union philosophy, service standards, and compliance.
• Onboard new hires ensuring access to systems (Symitar, Windows, Profitstars, TrueChecks).
• Deliver ongoing product knowledge classes and update training materials.
• Assess training needs and develop curricula and manuals.
• Assist in creating e-learning content including voiceover and video.
• Respond to staff questions on policies, procedures, and software.
• Develop or edit department procedures and training aids.
• Track trainee progress and measure training effectiveness.
