Job summary

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, NV seeks a Training & Development Specialist to facilitate New Hire Orientation and leadership programs. You’ll partner with the HR Manager to enhance training, development, and performance; support online and local partnerships; and help shape benchmarked competencies across departments.

You will lead service initiatives, identify high-potential team members, and drive management trainee programs, while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Training & Development, Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Training and Development or related field.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with managers, team members and the public.
• Knowledge of learning and development theories and how to measure outcomes.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills; strong communication skills.
• MS Office proficiency; bilingualism is a plus.
• Grooming standards must be adhered to; no visible tattoos/piercings or unnatural hair colors.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates training programs such as New Hire Orientation and Leadership development.
• Collaborates with HR Manager to identify opportunities for training and performance improvements.
• Supports satellite and online training programs and local partnerships.
• Sets performance benchmarks and measures competencies across departments.
• Leads service initiatives and development programs for the property.
• Works with department leaders to develop high-potential Team Members.
• Acts as a primary point person for Management Development Trainee programs.
• Performs other incidental duties as required.
