Job summary

York County is seeking a seasoned HR professional to lead employee relations, training and development initiatives, and broad HR projects across the organization.

The role supports the Director by counseling on disciplinary actions, investigations, policy interpretation, and compliance with FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, HIPAA, and related laws. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in public-sector HR with leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in local government or public sector.
• Strong knowledge of EEO, HR laws and compliance standards.
• Experience advising management and handling employee relations investigations.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support department leadership on HR policies and procedures.
• Lead employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary actions and grievances.
• Coordinate and manage county-wide training programs and budgets.
• Maintain training records, reports, and data for compliance and planning.
• Represent HR on committees and prepare reports for management.
