Job summary

The York Water Company seeks an experienced HR leader to develop and execute human resource strategy in support of the company's mission and governance. You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, policy development, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and workforce development, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

In addition, you will serve as Corporate Secretary, manage board records and governance filings, and act as a trusted advisor to senior management and the Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• Minimum ten years of diverse human resources experience.
• Three to five years of supervisory experience.
• Valid PA driver’s license; SHRM credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and implements the company’s human resource strategy supporting mission and vision.
• Leads recruitment, onboarding, training, retention, performance management, and engagement.
• Manages compensation, benefits, and related surveys for competitiveness.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Serves as Corporate Secretary and oversees governance-related records and filings.
• Supervises HR staff and collaborates with executives and the Board.
