Job summary

Prescient Edge is seeking a Mid-level HR Technician to provide comprehensive human resources services, including benefits guidance, leave policy administration, and recruitment for a military unit. You’ll handle personnel actions, onboarding, and compliance with civilian and military regulations, coordinating with SOCOM J1 on actions and awards.

Responsibilities include developing SOPs, preparing command briefings, and managing awards, performance evals, and casualty procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Human Resources.
• Experience supporting USSOCOM at O-6 or higher in last 12 years.
• Ability to present complex reports to senior military officials.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive HR services including benefits guidance, leave policy administration, awards processing, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance.
• Manage personnel records, regulatory compliance, administrative support, leadership briefings, and program improvement.
• Prepare briefings for command leadership and process all personnel actions (promotions, transfers, leaves, separations, reassignments).
• Coordinate with SOCOM J1 on all personnel actions and awards.
• Oversee awards and decorations program; publish official orders and prepare certificates.
• Manage performance evaluation system and track suspense dates for reports.
• Maintain readiness and strength reports; track arrivals, departures, and duty statuses.
• Act as casualty reporting point of contact; survivor assistance procedures.
• Draft, proofread, and process official correspondence for commander’s signature.
• Publish and disseminate official orders, directives, and announcements.
• Serve as the unit records manager and handle proper filing of documents.
• Plan and direct official ceremonies (changes of command, activations, awards, retirements).
• Write scripts and talking points for formal events; advise on military protocol.
