Job summary

The Department of Public & Behavioral Health's Lakes Crossing Psychiatric Facility Human Resources Office in Sparks is hiring for the position of Human Resources Technician 1. Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of clerical experience that included extensive public contact and customer service, recordkeeping, document processing, and the application of policies and regulations.
• Knowledge of recordkeeping methods and basic office software.
• Ability to work under general supervision and provide quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment and selection processes and on-boarding of new employees.
• Coordinate new hire orientation and maintenance of employment records.
• Review timesheets and prepare payroll documents; monitor leaves and benefits.
• Serve as liaison for PEBP and PERS; provide guidance on policies and procedures.
• Process HR transactions and maintain HR/payroll databases; respond to inquiries.
