Job summary

City of Seattle's Seattle Human Resources is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to steward compensation and classification technology across PowerApps, PDQ, databases and Workday. You’ll lead incident response, handle service desk support, and improve workflows in a hybrid office setting.

You’ll partner with HR partners and IT, define requirements, coordinate multi-year projects, and translate needs into technical specs while ensuring data quality and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration with emphasis in business systems technology, or related field
• Three (3) years in systems, operations, procedures, research, analysis, or related field
• Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration with emphasis in business systems technology, or related field
• Four (4) years in systems, operations, procedures, research, analysis, or related field
• Five years in business systems, business technology operations, procedures, research, business analysis, or related field

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for compensation and classification systems, including PowerApps workflow platform, PDQ portal, nested database structures, and Workday interfaces
• Manage the unit’s service desk and deliver responsive, human-centered support to HR partners and City departments
• Independently administer daily operations of classification and compensation systems, including data management, workflow automation, documentation, and process development
• Lead multi-year technical and operational improvement projects with cross-department scope, coordinating requirements and testing
