Job summary

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is hiring for HR Tech 1 or 2 roles in Georgia. This position supports HR actions, payroll processing, and benefits administration under state guidelines.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, some post-secondary education, and 0+ years of HR experience. Travel may be required; Workday experience is preferred. This is a sensitive government position with a thorough background check.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Workday.
• Knowledge of FMLA, Workers’ Compensation and benefit plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external customers.
• Proficient with a computer and MS Office software.
• Maintain personnel records in compliance with policy.
• Experience with confidentiality standards.
• Occasional state-wide travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process personnel action requests and payroll transactions.
• Administer FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, Benefits and ADAA for staff.
• Compile and file personnel-related reports.
• Maintain personnel files and provide information to authorized persons.
• Conduct New Employee Orientation and onboarding/offboarding.
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers.
