State of Georgia, Bureau of Investigation, is seeking an HR Tech 1 or 2 to handle personnel actions, payroll, and benefits processing. The role includes onboarding/offboarding, reporting, and supporting confidential HR activities in a government environment.

Qualifications

Responds to inquiries from internal and external customers.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:· Working knowledge of Workday· Knowledge of State benefit plans, FMLA, FLSA, Workers’ Compensation and other applicable regulations· Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, both orally and in writing.· Must be proficient with the use of a computer.· Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite software· Responsible for maintaining personnel records in compliance with policy· Experience with confidentiality standards· Occasional state-wide travel is required· Ability to conduct New Employee OrientationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The incumbent will be required to sit for long periods of time and occasionally be required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel.WORK ENVIRONMENT:This position requires the incumbent to work in an office setting which includes shared office space with other employees.NOTE: This position will require travel and operating a state vehicle.
