Job summary

Hammer & NER is seeking a Human Resources Associate to support the HR and Training team from an onsite location in Wayzata, MN. You will coordinate HR initiatives, serve as a key contact for employee HR requests, and help drive talent recruitment and onboarding.

You will provide administrative support across HR functions, manage HRIS data, assist with recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and performance management, reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

Qualifications

• Administrative and/or HR Assistant experience in a mid-sized organization; prior HR experience preferred.
• Demonstrated use of media platforms to support recruitment and candidate sourcing.
• Knowledge of HRIS, reporting, applicant tracking, and file data storage.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities to complete work on time.
• Strong communication skills across individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for employee HR questions via voicemail and email.
• Manage HRIS database and personnel filing, ensuring data integrity.
• Complete employment authorization and personnel file requests.
• Maintain HR materials on SharePoint and run HR data reports.
• Support DEI initiatives and employee engagement activities.
• Lead interviews with candidates via Teams and in person.
• Ensure compliance with wage theft and employment laws.
• Oversee onboarding processes using Paylocity and create orientation packets.
