Job summary

TxDOT's Human Resources Office in Houston is seeking a year-round Intern Support Technician to join our team and develop HR skills. The role involves supporting HR functions across recruiting, onboarding, data audits, and records management.

The position offers exposure to a wide range of HR projects and a hands-on environment in the largest TxDOT district. Ideal for students seeking practical experience while continuing education.

Qualifications

• Must be a student in high school or college or enrolled in a college/university.
• Must be at least 16 years old and enrolled in an educational institution.
• Eligible for driving duties if 18+ with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining confidential information and records.
• Support HR Generalists with routine tasks and onboarding.
• Maintain files, records, and logs (paper and electronic).
• Assist with recruiting, pre-employment/due diligence tasks and onboarding/offboarding.
• Conduct data audits/updates for Education, Driver's License and other records.
• Assist in event preparation such as New Employee Orientation and wellness events.
