Job summary

Capital One seeks a Principal Associate, HR Strategic Operations in McLean, VA to drive HR strategy and execute high-priority initiatives with cross-functional teams. You will influence leaders and partner across the HR org to deliver measurable value.

You will design executive meeting agendas, help shape multi-year HR strategy, and own key metrics and reporting. A focus on AI-enabled process improvements will help drive efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience.
• 3+ years in Strategic Operations, Project Management, Management Consulting, HR Strategy, Chief of Staff role or combination.
• At least 1 year of experience in roadmap alignment, governance structures, stakeholder alignment and change management.
• At least 3 years experience working in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Design agendas for executive meetings to drive outcomes.
• Support the drafting and evolution of multi-year HR strategy alignment.
• Define and own metrics, and report on objectives and org health.
• Draft communications for executive forums and synthesize discussions into actionable outcomes.
• Act as a culture-carrier and foster engagement within the HR org.
• Identify and pilot AI/process innovations to improve efficiency and reporting.
