Job summary

Capital One’s Human Resources Strategic Operations team seeks a Principal Associate Project Manager to drive HR strategy and execute high-priority initiatives. You will work with stakeholders across the company to deliver data-driven insights, improve governance, and advance cross-functional programs.

You will lead strategic workstreams, support multi-year planning, and help design communications for executive forums while fostering a culture of engagement and performance within the HR

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Strategic Operations, Project Management, Management Consulting, HR Strategy, Chief of Staff role or combination.
• At least 1 year of experience in roadmap alignment, governance structures, stakeholder alignment and change management.
• At least 3 years experience working in a matrixed environment.
• Excellent writing and visual storytelling skills.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail.
• Experience with AI technologies or prompt engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Executive Governance & Decision Support: Drive the operating rhythm of HR leadership teams and design agendas for meetings that drive outcomes.
• Strategy Architecture: Support drafting and evolution of multi-year HR strategy and ensure enterprise alignment.
• Organizational Health & Reporting: Define metrics and manage reporting on objectives and health using data-driven insights.
• High-Stakes Communications: Draft communications for executive forums and translate strategy into actionable outcomes.
• Culture Advocacy: Design initiatives to foster engagement and high performance within the HR org.
• AI Enablement & Process Innovation: Identify and pilot opportunities to integrate AI tools into workflows.
