Job summary

Aberdeen Proving Ground (HR Office) is seeking an experienced HR professional to provide comprehensive HR services to managers and employees at this on-site location in Maryland.

The role covers staffing, pay administration, benefits, training, and labor relations, with guidance on complex personnel issues and regulatory compliance. Leadership of HR staff may be required to support multiple organizations or locations.

Qualifications

• 18+ months of HR office experience demonstrating knowledge of two or more HR functions (staffing, recruitment, classification, management employee relations, labor relations, or training).
• Experience analyzing complex HR problems and recommending resolutions.
• Proven experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work with a variety of HR information systems.
• Preferred: 12 months in a NAF HR office and completed training in Basic Staffing, Customer Service, Organizational Structure, Basic Writing, and Time Management or Career Path I. Experience managing high-volume HR workload across multiple orgs/locations.

Responsibilities

• Provides a full range of HR services for managers and employees and advises on complex personnel issues.
• Performs staffing, pay administration, training, incentive awards, performance administration, benefits, and labor relations.
• Applies regulatory compliance knowledge to address routine and complex HR issues.
• Monitors, directs, trains and oversees a team of lower graded HR staff when required.
