Job summary

ATCEMS is seeking an HR Specialist to provide payroll and personnel action processing, employee inquiries, and records management in a fast-paced municipal environment. You will partner with HR staff and City departments to ensure accurate data and compliant processes.

The role requires an associate degree and two years of HR experience, with preferred payroll experience using UKG Kronos or Workday. Hybrid schedule with training, and the chance to contribute to a broad range of HR programs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field required, plus two years of HR experience.
• Experience processing payroll and personnel actions preferred.
• Strong communication, data analysis, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support, payroll processing, and personnel action handling.
• Answer employee inquiries via in-person, phone, and email; refer complex questions as needed.
• Assist with records management from creation to retention and disposition.
